Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh, India

Blending of Tradition and Modern Yoga Styles. It’s worth noting that there are various Best Yoga Schools in India, and Moksha Yoga Shala is just one of them that values both the past and the present. Yoga is a spiritual discipline that aims to bring harmony between the mind and body. The word “yoga” comes from Sanskrit and means “to join” or “to unite”. Practicing yoga can lead to the union of individual consciousness with Universal Consciousness, resulting in a state of liberation or freedom. Yoga is an inner science that includes various methods for achieving this union and gaining control over one’s destiny. Yoga in India is considered an integral part of the Indus Saraswati Valley civilization dating back to 2700 B.C. and promotes both material and spiritual upliftment. The practice of yoga is centered on basic humane values.

During the Vedic period, Yoga was practiced with great emphasis on spirituality and under the direct guidance of a Guru. The Sun was highly revered, and the practice of Surya Namaskara may have been influenced by this. Pranayama was also incorporated into daily rituals. Maharshi Patanjali, a great Sage, systematized and codified the existing practices of Yoga through his Yoga Sutras. Many other Sages and Yoga Masters contributed to the preservation and development of Yoga through their documented practices and literature.

How to Manage Stress

Yoga, a practice of the mind and body
A path towards peace and serenity

Through postures and breath we connect
Our inner selves we can reflect

With each pose, we release tension
And find balance and intention

The mind becomes calm and clear
As we let go of all our fear

Yoga teaches us to be present
To focus on each moment

To find stillness in our busy lives
And let go of all that strives

A practice that's both ancient and new
Yoga can bring us closer to

Our true selves and our inner light
A journey that's both beautiful and bright.
